When going to a hospital, it’s best to try and follow these short tips to make sure you have the best hospital experience in Bali!

1. Bring your credentials with you

This could be anything, really. Although, your passport and your national ID card would suffice. Sometimes it’s best to carry around your precious credentials anywhere. This is because accidents or injuries may occur while you are doing your activities.

2. Always have travel  insurance

You never know what will happen when you’re in Bali. That’s both a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. Bringing travel insurance will save you from a lot of hassle when procuring medical services.

4. How should I inquire for services?

Even though some of the hospitals said that they are open 24/7, it’s always best to try and make an appointment first. Some choices of hospitals above have doctors that are available even on weekends as long as you made an appointment first!

Hospitals vs Clinics

If you have seen our article about clinics in Bali, then you’ll know that they aren’t too shabby when it comes to the things that they offer. In fact, if you are going for a normal everyday checkup, then it’s best to go to a clinic first. They can prescribe you some medicine which you have to buy from a nearby pharmacy.

Some of the clinics in Bali offer very affordable diagnostics. If it turns out to be worse than you thought it would be then they’ll just refer you to the nearest hospital.

Health Issues in Bali

Now that we have shared some tips, we would also like to share with you the things that you need to look out for while staying in Bali. Some of them might be obvious, but others are very specific to Bali and other tropical places such as Indonesia.
