4. Looking for Books in Ak.’sa.ra

Ak.’sa.ra might be more well known because of their bookstore, which is one of the most famous places for the lover of indie pieces of literature in Jakarta. Aksara might be the best one in the town. After they renovated their iconic bookstores in 2018, Ak.’sa.ra opened up with a new place for people to gather more and more. Located in the busy street of Kemang Raya, might treat you with several things that you can choose from. The literature reader might be happy because the famous cafe Ruang Seduh inside the aksara has been upgraded. 

You can also do several things other than buying and looking for books. You can check out the Ganara Art Venter, this art school has been upgraded and this reputable art school also holds workshops monthly that you can check out furthermore on their Instagram. For the lover of photography, you can head out to (lab)rana, one of the most famous developing labs for the analog camera in South Jakarta. This independent developing lab also enthusiastically welcomes their fellow students that want to develop their films so it creates such a community in a petite space.

5. Watching some Movies in Kinosaurus

Are you done strolling around the artspace? or do you want another thing that might be different from your usual taste?. For moviegoers, you can also check out Ak.’sa.ra that is located in the street of Kemang Raya. In the crowded street of Kemang Selatan, there is a place that the fans of festival movies and indie movies might be excited for inside the Ak.’sa.ra. We should be grateful that a place called Kinosaurus exist. Kinosaurus is another place that you can try out when you want to spend the rest of the day watching old movies or movies that are not aired in the regular cinemas. 

This microcinema will treat you with their wooden interior that is rarely seen in the microcinema and it will absolutely give you another experience in watching movies in the cinema. The chair might also be different because there are bean bags that you can use when you’re watching the movies here. Kinosaurus is open from Friday until Sunday. So this place might be the best one to fill out your weekends.
