Neighborhood Guide: Gading Serpong

Gading Serpong is a township, located on the west side of Jakarta, at Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency of Banten Province. The area of this satellite city was developed by PT Summarecon Agung as Summarecon Serpong, which later in the 1993 Keris Group in-cooperated with the development, and the name was later changed as Gading Serpong. Later, Paramount Land also joined the project to accelerate development, partners of the project decided to develop the Garding Serpong region individually.

Now, the township is mainly divided into two parts as Summarecon Serpong and Paramount Serpong. Gading Serpong has direct access to Jakarta – Merak Toll Road and Jakarta Outer Ring Road, which makes it easy for people who live at Gading Serpong and works at Jakarta to move around. As for public transportation, there is TransJakarta with routes from the township to several areas of Jakarta, Serpong railway station, and the adjacent Rawa Buntu station of Jakarta Commuter Rail which is located near to the township.
