Setiabudi is known to be one of the elite areas in Jakarta and is located in the Golden Triangle of Jakarta. This means that the bars there are upscale and if you’re a classy type kinda person, you’ll fit right in. Here are the 5 best bars in the Setiabudi sub-district.

1. Loewy (Bistro and Bar)

If you’re into a casual-styled bistro and bar with a classy atmosphere, then Loewy is the place for you! It’s informal yet elegant and modern decor and stiff drinks will take you on a journey back to the classic 40’s New York bars. The drinks and food are excellent and we recommend you to order the Cotton Candy Cosmopolitan and the escargots as those are the most famous items. Loewy also provides delicious vegan menu items so vegans and vegetarians can have a great experience as well. Their waitresses and baristas are very nice, polite, and have a great service. For smokers, you guys can relax, the bar has an open-air area if you want to cool down and smoke. After a few drinks at Loewy, you will surely be free from stress.

My favorite rooftop bar in Jakarta? Hause Rooftop is one of them and there are lots of them now. The atmosphere here is unreal and the view is amazing at night as you can gaze at the city. This is a place that you want to visit with your friends or significant other. You can have a candlelit dinner with your significant other here and trust me it will be amazing. The service is great and the manager is very polite towards the guest. The drinks here are amazing and you don’t need to eat to experience a great time. For non-alcohol drinkers, House also serves non-alcoholic drinks that are as tasty as the other drinks they serve. We recommend ordering their signature cocktails such as Take Me Home and my personal favorite, The Morning Glory. If you’re not in the mood for alcohol, you can order coffee as well.

After a long day at work, you’d probably want to chill out and drink alone with some friends. This is probably one of the best places to do just that. The beers are cold but the service is warm, and the ambiance and atmosphere is fun but calming. You can hear live music while drinking mocktails and talking with your friends. The bar and overall place is spacious so you won’t need to worry about feeling cramped or crowded. The food is amazing, my personal favorite is the baby back ribs and the tenderloin and the drinks are amazing. We recommend ordering their signature Clarified Manhattan and the Apple Cooler. If you’re here just to grab a few drinks, we also recommend you to order the nachos as your side dish.
